Preparing for the marriage, not just the wedding

The SYMBIS Assessment gives us an incredible starting point, but the real value of our time together is found in the conversations that follow.
My approach to premarital coaching is rooted in the belief that meaningful connection begins with understanding. Understanding ourselves, understanding one another, and becoming more aware of the patterns we bring into our relationships.
Throughout our time together, I'll help you slow down, get curious, and engage in conversations that move beyond simply finding the right answers.
Because building a strong marriage isn't about eliminating every difference or avoiding every challenge. It's about learning how to navigate life together while continuing to grow in connection.
What You Can Expect
A day to slow down, connect, and intentionally prepare for the marriage you're building together.
Preparing for marriage is about more than planning a wedding or knowing the right things to say. It's about growing in your understanding of one another, learning how you navigate life together, and building a foundation for a deeply connected relationship.
The Premarital Intensive combines the insights of the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Assessment with intentional, personalized coaching to create space for the conversations that matter most.
Before our time together, you'll each complete the SYMBIS Assessment, giving us a meaningful starting point to explore your individual experiences, relational patterns, strengths, and opportunities for growth.
Throughout our day together, we'll move beyond simply reviewing results and create space to better understand yourselves and each other.
What our day together looks like:
10 AM–5 PM: A dedicated day to slow down and invest in your relationship.
Understand Your Relationship: Walk through your personalized 15-page SYMBIS report, identifying strengths, differences, and relational patterns.
Deepen Your Connection: Create space for honest, meaningful conversations that help you see and understand one another more fully.
Navigate Differences: Explore how you approach conflict, communication, expectations, and the challenges that naturally come with sharing a life.
Practice Connection: Develop practical ways to communicate, listen, and respond to one another with greater understanding and intentionality.
Look Toward Your Future: Clarify your shared hopes, values, and vision for the marriage you're building together.
The goal isn't to leave with a perfect relationship or all the answers. It's to leave with a deeper understanding of one another, greater confidence in navigating life together, and practical tools to continue growing in connection long after our time together.
Whether you're dating with marriage in mind, recently engaged, or preparing for your wedding day, this experience is an invitation to invest intentionally in the relationship at the heart of it all.
Your marriage is worth being intentional about.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you're preparing for engagement or counting down the days until your wedding, there's value in slowing down, asking meaningful questions, and building a deeper understanding of one another.
Let's start with a conversation about what
investing in your relationship could look like.
